The recipients of the 2024 VivaMente grant, Daniel King and Nephele Papakonstantinou, will organise an interdisciplinary conference in Pisa that will delve into the evolution of medical and medico-legal case histories from antiquity to the Renaissance, exploring the interplay between rhetoric and medical evidence. Aiming to reassess the historical significance of medical writing and its role in justice, the conference will span different periods and cultures. |
