Sudhoffs Archiv: A New Publication Outlet |
Along with a new partner, new strategic links have been sealed as the historic Journal Sudhoffs Archive is now officially part of the CSMBR publication outlets, joining PSMEMM and our blog, Forma Fluens.
Established in 1917 by Karl Sudhoff (1853-1938), the founder of the history of medicine as an independent academic discipline, Sudhoffs Archiv is today the world’s oldest continuously published journal of the history of science, devoted primarily to the source-based analysis of the history of the natural sciences, mathematics, and medicine.
The centre and the journal invite submissions from scholars writing on any aspect of the history of medicine. The Journal is committed to a strict historiographical perspective and dedicated to the source-based analysis of the history of the natural sciences, mathematics and medicine. Sources may be primarily textual, object-based or oral transmissions suitable for elucidating questions of the history of science.
Quality is paramount. Every submission undergoes a thorough double-blind peer review. Authors will be updated on the outcome – acceptance, revision suggestions, or rejection – in a timely manner. Typically, the editorial decision is communicated within 3 months.
