Elixir, Medicinal Waters, Precious Stones and their Use in Medicine and Alchemy
Stefania Buosi Moncunill is an Ital0-Catalan researcher with a linguistic, anthropological, and philological background. Her studies focus on medical books of prescriptions and alchemical manuscripts, particularly of the Occitan-Catalan area (c. XIV-XVI). She is working on an alchemical bibliography and vocabulary in the Sciència.cat research group DB of the University of Barcelona. She has taught for 14 years in various international institutions (MIUR and MECD), including as a Catalan assistant at Ca’ Foscari, University of Venice. Her most recent publications include “El Testament Pseudolulli à de Jaume Mas: traducció o còpia de treball d’un alquimista català?”, in Literature, Science and Religion: Textual Transmission and Translation in Medieval and EarlyModern Europe (Kassel, Reichenberger, 2020).
